There are roughly 5 million Veteran Owned Businesses(VOBs) and approximately 500,000 Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses(SDVOSBs) in the United States. Government agencies, prime contractors, businesses and consumers who wish to support our veterans often encounter challenges identifying qualified Veteran Owned Businesses. Many VOBs also experience difficulties acquiring government, prime contractor and business customers. SDVOSB Council Meeting Schedule

An order signed by former President George W. Bush on October 20, 2004, directs all federal agencies to implement Executive Order 13360 (EO 13360). EO 13360, in conjunction with various Small Business Acts, establishes a goal of at least 3% of Federal contracting for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses and gives agency contracting officers the authority to reserve certain procurements for SDVOBs.
On behalf of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, the Council will advocate at the Federal, State and Local levels, to challenge agencies and corporations to meet or exceed SDVOSB goals defined in Executive Order –÷–o13360. © Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Council 2009.
